FAQs

Reducing the amount of food waste placed into the waste stream lowers the cost of maintaining a landfill site. It will be smaller, less polluting and easier to maintain. Trucking costs for hauling the garbage to disposal sites are also greatly reduced. Businesses and hotels will be able to save thousands of rupees a year in operating costs by adopting local on-site composting techniques for food wastes. "Reduce, recycle and reuse" is a popular catch phrase of the "go green" movement and local composting helps achieve all three objectives. By reducing the amount of food waste produced, and by composting food waste locally we are reducing the amount of money spent each year on waste management. By recycling our food waste through local composting our world becomes greener. By reusing the final product as fertilizer or soil conditioner we complete the ecological loop, and contribute to making our neighbourhoods and city a better place to live in.
In short the NetelEco BioMali prevents food waste ending up in landfill sites which is causing significant environmental damage while at the same time practically eliminating the need for collection, cartage or disposal of your waste food. It reduces the menace of rodents and pests as there are no overflowing dustbins when you have a BioMali installed at your premise.
Items to be placed in: Food Waste, Fish, Fish Bones, Meat, Meat Bones, Poultry, Poultry Bones, Vegetables, Fruits, Fruits & Vegetable Peels, Pasta, Rice, Bread & Pastry, Egg-Shells, Manure, Faeces & Yard Waste Cattle, Horse, Dog, Yard Trimmings.
Items to be avoided: Plastics, Metal Objects, Construction Waste, Textiles, Wood/Wooden Objects, Coconut-Shells.

The process reduces the volume of waste by 85-90% by evaporating water and discharging warm air. The remaining 10-15% is turned into Soil Enricher. This whole process takes from 12 to 24 hours for food waste to be converted into Soil Enricher.

The NetelEco BioMali performs best when different food waste types are mixed together. It performs less well on food waste of a single type such as only vegetable waste, or only bread and pastry waste.

Yes. The Soil Enricher can be used directly in gardens or plants. Since it is concentrated it needs to be mixed with soil in the proportion of 10:1 (soil: compost) and then added to the plants.

Yes. The Soil Enricher is dry like soil having a brownish colour

There is no crushing or grinding and hence the BioMali is absolutely silent.
No gases as there is aerobic digestion taking place i.e. continuous air intake and air outlet.
As there is no crushing or grinding involved in the process, no wear and tear of inner parts takes place. Also the main tank is made up of stainless steel (SS304 Grade), which adds to its long lifespan. Thus, no maintenance as such is required.
No. As it is fully automatic, the garbage collector can just open the lid and dump the segregated waste into it.
No. The machine initially comes with our sawdust consisting of bacteria culture in it. The bacteria reproduce continuously, so there is no need of adding it ever.
Not at all. They do not pose any threat to humans and are free of any pathogens.
Since there is no crushing or grinding, no effect takes place on such inorganic waste and one shall find them in the same condition the next day, and they can be easily removed. However, such objects should be strictly avoided.
It should be completely avoided, but if put in by mistake the blades will get jammed and the machine will overload and trip. In the worst case it may cause the blades to break.

NetelEco BioMali is a fully automatic machine. In order to operate the machine, there are three basic steps:

  • Open the lid from where the waste would be placed in,
  • Place in the waste. Make sure the waste is segregated and only organic waste is being put inside the machine, and
  • Close the lid and the machine would start its operation of converting the waste into compost

Our service team would train your housekeeping personnel on how to operate the machine in three regards:

  • How to put in the waste,
  • How to remove the compost,
  • How to keep the machine clean and tidy
No, it need not be indoors, however, being an electrically operated machine, it has to be kept covered in a shed for the safety of the operator during the monsoons.
The odour is controlled using an odour management system, which comes as a part of the machine.
The regular housekeeping team can operate the machine efficiently. You do not need skilled labour and you do not need to hire new labour especially for operating the machine. Our service team would train your housekeeping personnel and would be in constant touch with them in case of any problems.
We would recommend not to overload the machine but in case it gets overloaded, the in-built sensors would not allow the machine to start the operation to protect the machine.

The Soil Enricher can be used in one of the following ways:

  • It can be used for the gardens in the premises as a soil nutrient,
  • It can be sold to the fertilizer companies or on e-commerce websites like Amazon where it can fetch Rs. 50/Kg or more
  • It can be donated to the nearby nurseries or to the farmers and you can be a contributor to the development of the nation
  • A local government body might collect the compost depending upon where you are.
We recommend that the waste should be loaded once in a day for smooth operation of the machine.
The machine is designed in such a way that you do not need to empty it every day. When you would observe that the machine is full of compost and you cannot put in more waste, then we recommend that you take the compost out of the machine.
Daily moping of the outer body of the machine and nearby surroundings is needed so that the waste lying on the ground doesn’t attract flies and rodents.
We have been in the environmental engineering business since 1980 and hence we have developed a strong service network and reach across the nation.
Our philosophy in dealing with waste is to prevent the operation of decomposition to turn into the process of rotting and hence whenever there is a breakdown, we immediately inform the housekeeping personnel on site to do a first-hand check and to initiate the auxiliary operation. This ensures that the operation of converting waste to compost does not stop and in a few hours, our service engineer would reach the site and repair the damages.
Yes, the machine has to be connected to the source for 24 hours. However, it consumes power only from 8 to 11 hours depending on the humidity content of the waste. However, the air supply blower and the electronic circuit would operate for 24 hours.
If there is a power cut, the machine would start cooling down. However, today, all the societies, hotels, restaurants, hospitals, municipalities have the power back-up facilities and we recommend using the power back-up via a power generator to keep the machine running. However, the power failure would not affect the equipment.
Nothing. The machine comes with all the equipment and consumables in-built. No consumables, no additives, no sawdust and no water is needed to be added into the machine to make it work.
Yes. NetelEco BioMali is robustly engineered and it can take bones into it. For bones, we also recommend and provide a separate crusher assembly.
Yes. NetelEco BioMali works with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian waste.
Lifespan of the NetelEco BioMali machine is approximately 10 years.
Yes. It is safe to use near the children playing area. We also provide locker assembly on the input lids and we recommend putting the machine locked inside a room to keep people safe.
Yes. You can put any kind of organic waste into the machine including garden waste. However, it is designed for household food waste.
You would need a three phase 32A power connection. We recommend using a Le grand MCB for the same.

There are many benefits of using NetelEco BioMali over Vermiculture:

  • You do not need a skilled labour for the operation, hence saving in labour costs
  • You do not need a large area for dumping in the waste as BioMali needs a small floor space, hence saving in land costs,
  • You do not need to control the temperature very efficiently, the machine does the job for you, hence saving in time and efforts and highly convenient,
  • You do not need costly worms to manage the process, hence saving in consumables costs,
  • You do not to monitor the humidity and temperature consistently throughout the day, the machine does the job for you, hence saving in time and efforts
  • You do not need to add sawdust or waste during the process, the machine senses and controls the humidity and temperature for you, hence saving in time and efforts and highly convenient,
  • You get the compost in 24 hours straight and then you can put in the next batch of waste but with Vermiculture, you need to wait for at least 3-7 days,
  • You save on civil construction costs as the machine does not require a pit to be built, and
  • You do need to worry about the slurry or sludge formation during the monsoon season as the pit has to be kept open 365 days.
